摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing high Si added high carbon wire rod for bolt by forming decarburized ferritic layer is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the steps of heating a steel bloom comprising C 0.65 to 1.50 wt.%, Si 2.0 to 4.0 wt.%, Mn 0.1 to 0.8 wt.%, 0.01 wt.% or less of P and S, N 0.002 to 0.01 wt.%, 0.002 wt.% or less of O, one or more than two elements selected from the group consisting of Ni 0.3 to 2.0 wt.%, B 0.001 to 0.003 wt.%, V 0.01 to 0.5 wt.%, Nb 0.01 to 0.5 wt.%, Mo 0.01 to 0.5 wt.%, Ti 0.01 to 0.2 wt.%, W 0.01 to 0.5 wt.% and Cu 0.01 to 0.2 wt.%, a balance of Fe and incidental impurities at 1260±30°C for 100±20 min; hot rolling the steel bloom, wherein ferrite decarburized layer is formed on the surface of the steel billet; heating the steel billet to 1100±50°C at a rate of greater than 10°C/min; holding the steel billet at 1100±50°C for 45±15 min; and hot rolling the steel billet into wire rod.
