<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell of improved reliability in sealing between two separator plates constituting a cooling section, which will not have seal material pop to the outside under the pressure of a cooling water, nor cooling water leaking into the adjoining manifold gas hole. <P>SOLUTION: Related to at least one of two separator plates constituting a cooling section, on a surface facing the other, a groove which is packed with a sealing material is provided at a position surrounding the manifold hole on both inlet side and outlet side of a cooling water continuous to the flow channel of the cooling water, as well as at the flow channel of the cooling water, and the groove is packed with the sealing material. Due to the engaging structure having a step provided to a sealing material coating part, the position of two separator plates pasted together is fixed easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
