<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initiator easily and inexpensively manufacturable and a gas generator having the initiator. <P>SOLUTION: Reaction chemicals 58 are stored in a casing 56 of the initiator 50. A pin 66 is connected to a header 54, and a pin 62 is inserted into a hole 60 in the header 54 and is fixed by glass or the like.
