<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a medical luminaire equipped with a main lamp and a preparatory lamp not only to constitute one of two lamps as a discharge lamp but also to make the structure or output of the preparatory lamp non- equivalent to that of the discharge lamp. <P>SOLUTION: A first lamp 3 is constituted as a both-side plug-in type discharge lamp having connection contacts provided thereto so as to be mutually opposite in the axial direction thereof and the discharge lamp is held in a first socket 1 along with a second lamp 4 constituted as an incandescent electric bulb in a contact state. The first socket is constituted as a part of a revolving device 16, which is rotatable centering around its axial line, for holding the other end of the discharge lamp in a contact state along with the second socket 15 arranged with respect to the first socket so as to leave an interval and the revolving device 16 is rotated by a lock releasing process due to a torsion spring 8 pre-loaded with the revolving device and the fixed part of an illumination body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
