PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene diagnostic device and a gene diagnostic method capable of detecting a monobasic or higher genetic abnormality simply, accurately in a short time, and automatizing diagnosis with a small size and light weight device, inexpensively at a very small running cost. SOLUTION: This gene diagnostic device is equipped with a power source part 9a for applying a voltage between an electrode 16 and an electrode 17 in order that a reference electrode 12 has a prescribed positive potential against the potential of a reference electrode 11, a control operation part 8 for controlling the power source part 9a, and a detection part 15 provided in a capillary tube 19, for detecting the passing quantity of a DNA sample passing through the inside. The device is characterized in electrophoresing the DNA sample in the capillary tube 19 by applying a prescribed voltage, and measuring respectively the passing quantities of normal DNA's abnormal DNA's and noise DNA's by the detection part 15. |
