PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car body rear structure of an automobile capable of preventing unconsidered deformation of a striker part against the shock load from the rear side by increasing rigidity near the center of a car body while improving workability for assembling of a bumper beam to a rear side frame securing its assembling accuracy without largely changing a composition of a basic frame. SOLUTION: The car body rear structure of an automobile is provided with a rear side frame extended longitudinally at the right-and-left both sides of the body rear, a rear skirt connecting the back end of the rear side frame on either side, and a bumper beam connecting the rear side at the right and left behind the rear skirt. The bumper beam is fixed directly to the rear side frame through the rear skirt and is curved and formed so that the near part to the car body center may project at the maximum toward the rear of the car body.
