PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus by which banding can be effectively prevented. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a transfer belt 2a which is in contact with an image carrier 1 in a transfer position transferring a toner image to transfer material and a first driving roll 3 which is pressed against the transfer belt 2a and the image carrier 1 from the transfer belt 2a side in the transfer position. The transfer belt 2a is rotated and driven by the first driving roll 3 which is rotated and driven by a driving device 7 and the image carrier 1 is rotated and driven through the transfer belt 2a. |
