PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate connection structure of liquid crystal display device and a liquid crystal display device, which can reduce failures caused by faulty connections. SOLUTION: On a flexible input board 16, detection terminals 28 are formed under input terminals 24. On an input wiring circuit board 18, is formed with the detection terminals consisting of the pairs of 1st and 2nd terminals f1, f1', f1",... and f2, f2', f2",... are formed. By press-bonding the input terminals 24 to the input wiring terminals 30, the detection terminals 28 abut on the detection terminals consisting of the pairs of 1st and 2nd terminals f1 and f2, f1' and f2',..., sitting astride them, as if each switch of a group of switched were closed. When a faulty connection occurs between the input terminals and the input wiring terminals 30, only one switch of the switch group stays open.
