<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the deposition of dust in an annular groove by efficiently discharging the dust deposited from sealing water in the annular groove arranged in a skirt part of a converter exhaust gas treating equipment from a changing water drainage pipe. SOLUTION: The changing water drainage pipe 15 is arranged at the position apart from a distance corresponding to 1/2 of the depth of the annular groove 10 from the arranging position of a changing water spouting nozzle 8 near the bottom part of the annular groove in the reverse direction to the spouting hole of the changing water spouting nozzle 8. The changing water is spouted so that generated a tangential directional component to the sealing water stream in the annular groove 10 from the spouting nozzle 8 and then, the floated dust is efficiently discharged to the outer part with the overflow of the sealing water from the annular groove 10 and the drainage water from the changing water drainage pipe 15. By this constitution, the removing work of the dust deposited in the annular groove 10 is lightened, and the improvement of operating ratio of the converter is achieved.</p> |
