PURPOSE: A central collecting vacuum cleaner having a steam cleaning function is provided to inject steam onto a surface to be cleaned, thereby removing the dust, contaminant, and foreign substances on the surface to be cleaned. CONSTITUTION: A central collecting vacuum cleaner having a steam cleaning function is composed of a cleaner main body(10) having an intake fan and dust collector, an intake tube(30) connected to a dust collector and indoor partition space, a steam generator, a steam tube(36) connected to the steam generator and indoor partition space, an intake head(60) having an intake hole to inhale liquid including foreign substances and a nozzle for injecting the steam, an extension pipe(50) connected to the intake head and having a certain length to perform the intake of the liquid and the injection of the steam, a connection portion(40) with the extension pipe, and a controller controlling the intake fan or steam generator with response to a selected mode from an air cleaning mode and steam cleaning mode.
