PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electrolyte that can constitute an organic electrolyte secondary battery of excellent safety. SOLUTION: This organic electrolyte using chain ester exceeding 50 vol.% as a main solvent in the whole electrolyte solvent and using chain ester with a methyl group at least as the electrolyte solvent is constituted by including a nonionic aromatic compound with an alkyl group with the carbon number of 4 or more, and including ethylene carbonate at 10 vol.% or more in the whole electrolyte solvent. As the nonionic aromatic compound with the alkyl group with the carbon number of 4 or more, butylbenzene, cyclohexylbenzene, trimellitic acid ester or dibutyl phthalate is preferable, and the content in the organic electrolyte is preferably 0.1 to 10 pts.vol. to the electrolyte solvent of 100 pts.vol. |
