PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method capable of reducing an instantaneous lighting phenomenon in a liquid crystal display device in which driver ICs are mounted in a COG (chip on glass). SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, after a logic voltage is inputted to an LCD driver 8 and, at the same time, a liquid crystal driving voltage having a potential equal to or lower than an OFF driving voltage is inputted to a liquid crystal display panel 1 and the liquid crystal driving voltage becomes to be in a stationary state at the potential, the liquid crystal driving voltage is increased to a potential higher than the OFF driving voltage.
