PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device capable of preventing intermittence of output sound. SOLUTION: A system controller 60 gives an instruction to an audio decoder 32 and a video decoder 36 to reproduce audio and a still picture. Further, the system correction 60 discriminates whether or not it is possible to read still picture information on the basis of a storage amount of audio information stored in a RAM 34, gives an instruction to a servo control section 18 when it is possible to interrupt the reading of the audio information and start reading the still picture information. When a time allowed for reading the still picture information elapses, the system controller 60 gives an instruction to the servo control section 18 to interrupt reading of the still picture and restart reading of the audio information.
