PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a problem with a conventional sink drain trap that, in order to prevent sealing water from being lost and kill miscellaneous or micro organism growing in the sealing water of the trap, water must be frequently fed manually, sewage must be treated in a sewage treatment facility, or drug must be directly filled into the sealing water for sterilization. SOLUTION: A commercial germicidal lamp 6 is installed in the sealing water of a sink drain trap to kill miscellaneous bacteria or micro organism growing in the sealing water, and optical catalyst a thermally sprayed on a catch basin 1 and deformed spherical filter media titanium oxide 5 is disposed on the surface of the sealing water to oxidize and reduce organic substances in the trap by utilizing ultraviolet ray produced by the germicidal lamp 6 so as to decompose into water and oxides in order to spontaneously decomposing contamination for deodorizing effect or decompose the cell membranes of bacteria for sterilization. Hot water is intermittently filled from a water heating appliance or a hot water feeding tube into a trap body 2 through a hot water filling port 4 to kill the miscellaneous bacteria or micro organism growing in the sealing water and prevent odor from returning into a room due to losses of the sealing water in the trap. The feeding of hot water is automatically performed by a timer. |
