METHOD FOR DISPLAYING GRAY LEVEL OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for displaying gray level of a plasma display panel(PDP) and an apparatus thereof are provided, which minimizes a false contour noise as minimizing the number of sub fields to maintain brightness. CONSTITUTION: A gray level is displayed by arranging a plurality of sub fields having their own brightness importance in a sequence of time, and sub fields more than the number of sub fields required in displaying total gray level are used in the plasma display panel. A plurality of sub field assembly indicating equal gray levels are applied per frame respectively. When applying the sub field assembly to each frame, dynamic false contour generation gray of each sub field assembly applied to an adjacent frame does not coincide.
