PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn off a thyristor circuit by use of a circuit constituted of electronic parts such as capacitors and power transistors. SOLUTION: This circuit turns off a thyristor using electronic parts such as a capacitor and a power transistor. The emitter current of the power transistor by pulses makes the discharge current of the capacitor flow in the opposite direction to the anode current of the thyristor, thus turning off the thyristor.
