PURPOSE: An integrated multimedia system for a car is provided to integrate a car navigation system, an AV(Audio/Video) system, and an information terminal as one unit so as to simplify an entire unit. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication modem(11) performs a wireless communication using a mobile communication network, and receives real time traffic information and various kinds of information from an information service center. A GPS(Global Positioning System) module(13) receives GPS information from a GPS satellite. A car interface unit(17) receives various kinds of car information from many sensors, cameras, and a car ECU(Electrical Control Unit) mounted in a car, and transmits a control signal for controlling the information. An audio interface unit(18) transmits and receives an audio signal to an audio input/output device such as a microphone, a speaker, etc. A display unit(16) displays video data necessary for traveling a car such as GPS information, information received through the wireless communication modem(11), etc. A memory(19) stores various kinds of data and programs necessary for traveling a car and map data of navigation. A main CPU(15) controls the above elements for making a car multimedia function such as a navigation function, an AV function, a wireless communication function, etc. necessary for traveling a car be performed smoothly. |
