PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for restoring non-stability are provided to restore the non-stability of signals of a hard disk drive by stabilizing a write/read head by executing a restoring process. CONSTITUTION: Resistance of a reading sensor in a write/read head is measured(202). Duration of high current supply and a range of current values are selected(204). A counter is initialized(206). The counter counts according to a formula N=N+1(208). The high current is supplied to the write/read head(210). The property of the write/read head is measured(212). A write/read process is executed as many as predetermined frequency(214). The maximum property of the write/read head, the used high current value, and high current supply duration are determined(216).
