PURPOSE: A method for finding a direction of a signal source is provided to track an accurate position of the signal source by judging whether an intersection point calculated by an intersection point equation is an intersection point of actual RF signals. CONSTITUTION: After coordinates and azimuth angles of the ith and the (i+1)th DFS(Direction Finding Station) receiving RF signals on the surface of the earth are obtained, and then a coordinate of an intersection point is obtained by substituting them to an intersection point calculation equation. It is judged whether an azimuth angle of the ith DFS is larger than 180 deg and is equal to or smaller than 360 deg. It is judged whether an azimuth angle of the (i+1)th DFS is larger than 180 deg and is equal to or smaller than 360 deg. If the azimuth angle of the (i+1)th DFS is larger than 180 deg and is equal to or smaller than 360 deg, it is judged whether a longitude coordinate of the intersection point is smaller than or equal to a longitude coordinate of the ith DFS and at the same time is smaller than the longitude coordinate of the (i+1)th DFS. And it is judged whether a coordinate of the intersection point is an intersection point based on actual RF signals or is an intersection point with a virtual RF signal. |
