PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the freezing performance by suppressing the pressure loss in a pipe for coupling each apparatus, in a turbo freezer. SOLUTION: A coupling pipe 35 for coupling the discharge port 34 of an evaporator 14 with the suction port 24 of a compressor 11 is constituted by coupling a small-diameter pipe 36 to be coupled to a suction port 24, an elbow pipe 37 to be coupled to the discharge port 34, and a reducer 38 for coupling this small-diameter pipe 36 with the elbow pipe 37, with one another so that the side of a discharge port 34 may be larger in diameter than the side of the suction port 24.
