PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission that has appreciable transmission efficiency and durability and is free of trouble about machining. SOLUTION: A driving side and a driven side cam surface 43a and 44a forming a loading cam device 10a are each a curved surface smoothly varying in a direction to gradually increase a slope angle from a bottom portion to a top portion of the cam surfaces 43a and 44a. A proper pressing force can be exerted on a traction region between an inner surface of each of an input side and an output side disk and a peripheral surface of each power roller, and machining of each of the driving side and driven side cam surfaces 43a and 44a can be facilitated.
