<p>A method of efficiently producing reduced coenzyme Q10 having excellent qualities which is useful in foods, foods with nutrient function claims, foods for specific health uses, nutritional supplements, tonics, animal drugs, drinks, feeds, cosmetics, drugs, remedies, preventives and so on. This method is suitable for industrial production thereof. Namely, reduced coenzyme Q10 can be handled in a state of being protected from oxidation due to molecular oxygen by bringing the coenzyme Q10 into contact with a solvent containing a strong acid. By crystallizing in the presence of a strong acid, moreover, coenzyme Q10 can be converted into crystals while minimizing the formation of the oxidized coenzyme Q10 as a by-product, thereby giving reduced coenzyme Q10 having excellent qualities.</p> |
