PAPER CUP FOR USE IN MICROWAVE OVEN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cup for use in a microwave oven which is free from leakage of contents or a burn on any part of the paper cup when the paper cup with the contents such as a beverage or instant food put in is heated and cooked in the microwave oven, and to provide a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: There are provided a paper cup for use in a microwave oven comprising a barrel member formed like a tube by rolling, and a bottom member having a bend formed by folding an outer peripheral rim. A barrel of the barrel member and the bend are joined for forming a joint, and the joint is rolled inwardly to form a bottom curl. Further, a method of manufacturing the cup is provided. The joint also can be formed in such a form that the bend is interposed between a fold formed by folding a lower end of the barrel and the barrel for joining.
