A support produced with the use of herbs, especially a pillow and herbal cushion, is provided which has a long duration of action and in which dust formation, rot and the formation of mould are substantially avoided. This is achieved in that, in a first illustrative embodiment, a herbal filling (4) is enclosed by a substantially dimensionally stable, air-permeable material, a horsehair cover (7) and a sheep's wool cover (8). The herbal filling (4) is then essentially only compressed when the cushion (3) is used, whereas crumpling and grinding movements, which very quickly crush the herbal filling (4) are avoided. The herbal filling (4) thus does not dry out so quickly, as a result of which a long-term effect is achieved. In a second illustrative embodiment, the filling of the cushion is moistened with herb extract. The moistened cushion filling emits the effective vapours slowly and in a controlled manner, as a result of which the duration of action is enormously increased. <IMAGE>
