PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid crystal from being affected by material in a sealing material. SOLUTION: A switching element operated by a scanning signal from a gate signal line, a pixel electrode to which a video signal from a drain signal line is supplied via the switching element and a counter substrate generating an electric field between the counter substrate and the pixel electrode are formed in each pixel area of the surface on the liquid crystal side of one substrate of substrates disposed opposite to each other via a liquid crystal. The counter substrate is formed on the upper surface of an insulation coating film formed by covering the switching element and the pixel electrode and connected to a circular bus line enclosing the periphery of the assembling body of each pixel area and the bus line is formed within the area enclosed by the sealing material both for sealing the liquid crystal and for fixing the one substrate to the other substrate.
