PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stylus capable of measuring both the front face and reverse face of a workpiece regardless of the presence of burrs in the reverse circumference of a worked hole. SOLUTION: A front face measuring stylus 8 is mounted on the central shaft 7 of a touch probe 6 for transmitting a signal when rocking the central shaft 7 at a right angle thereto. A contact ball 9 to make contact with the front face Wa of the workpiece W is provided at the tip of the front face measuring stylus 8, and a reverse face measuring stylus 11 is mounted on the tip of a shank 10 mounted on the vicinity thereof at a right angle in parallel to the front face measuring stylus 8. A contact ball 12 to make contact with the reverse face Wd of the workpiece W is provided on the end part close to the central shaft 7 of the reverse face measuring stylus 11.
