PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid separating apparatus in which sufficient liquid separation is secured and which is advantageous in the view point of installation area and installation cost. SOLUTION: In the liquid separating apparatus provided with an introducing port for a separable liquid mixture, a liquid separating vessel, a heavy liquid outlet and a light liquid outlet and for separating the liquid mixture, the liquid separating vessel is L-shaped. Though it is necessary for the liquid separating vessel only to be L-shaped, the bending angle in the L-shaped part of the liquid separating vessel is preferably 30-150 deg. for an effective liquid separating operation.
