<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management device for a bicycle parking device allowing a user to quickly park a bicycle without complex procedures and smoothly retrieve it. SOLUTION: The bicycle B of a user entering through an entrance gate 5a has its bicycle ID read from barcode scanners 51a and 52b and its data are input to a management computer 7. If the user is a registered member, doors open for admission. A serviceperson moves the bicycle B to support it against a bicycle rack 2 to park it, with the bicycle rack number being input to the management computer 7 by the barcode scanner 13 of a handy terminal 12. When the user retrieves the bicycle B, the barcode of his/her membership card is read by a barcode reader 9 and the management computer 7 displays the bicycle rack number of the bicycle B with the bicycle ID on a display device 10.</p> |
