PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary cell that has high capacity and superior recycle characteristics. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous secondary battery is equipped with a negative electrode composed of at least a lithium-silicon alloy and carbon and a positive electrode composed of at least a metal oxide lithium compound, where the charging quantity of the negative electrode is controlled to be lower than the utilization percentage of the negative electrode calculated from the related formula: utilization percentage(%) of negative electrode = [4199×β/100×α/100+372×(1-α)/100]/[4199×α/100+372×(1-α)/100]×100, where α is percentage(%) of silicon content, 0<α<=70, and β is percentage(%) of silicon utilization, and 0<β<=45. |
