PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing false-twisted yarn, capable of stably producing the false-twisted combined filament yarn of high quality, by subjecting undrawn combined filament yarn containing yarn threads of a polyester to which a polymethyl methacrylate-based polymer and/or a polystyrene- based polymer are added to drawing and false-twisting at a high speed. SOLUTION: This method for producing the false-twisted yarn comprises subjecting the undrawn combined filament yarn containing the yarn threads of the polyester to which the polymethyl methacrylate-based polymer and/or the polystyrene-based polymer are added to drawing and false-twisting, wherein the following conditions (1) to (4) are satisfied: (1) the yarn threads are subjected to entangling by air before drawning and false-twisting; (2) twisting and untwisting of the yarn threads is carried out by using a disk having a diameter of 50-70 mm; (3) an angle of traveling of the yarn threads to the rotation axis of the disk is set to be 38-48 deg.; and (4) a number of the false-twisting is set to be (15,000-35,000)/[size of the false-twisted yarn (dtex)]<1/2> turn/m.
