LIGHT GUIDE PANEL OF SIDELIGHT TYPE BACKLIGHT DEVICE AND PATTERN DESIGNING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A light guide panel of a sidelight type backlight device and a method for designing pattern thereof are provided to design the interval of reflection patterns of the light guide panel according to the incident light distance for making the luminance value uniform entirely. CONSTITUTION: A pattern designing method of light guide panel of a sidelight type backlight device includes the steps of dividing an area in the light guide panel into predetermined unit areas on the basis of the incident light direction(S10), calculating reflection ratio per area in the divided unit areas(S20), and variably setting the number of reflection patterns to be designed in the respective unit areas by the calculated reflection ratio(S22). The patterns are disposed in one direction by a predetermined interval, wherein the interval is calculated on the basis of a luminance value of light extracted from the respective unit areas at a same distance in one direction in the light guide panel, and the pattern is in the V-shaped concave and convex shape processed by V-cutting.
