PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which has a high curing rate and, simultaneously, excels in scorching stability, processability, moldability, and retention of shape and, in addition, can prepare a vulcanized rubber article without blooming in the surface and with a small value of compression set, and its vulcanized rubber article. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a specific ethylene based copolymer rubber, a vulcanizing agent, and a vulcanization accelerator comprising (C1) a dithiocarbamic acid salt in which two substitutents on the nitrogen of the dithiocarbamic acid salt are the ones containing an aromatic 6-membered ring structure and/or an alicyclic 6-membered ring structure, (C2) a thiuram polysulfide in which all 4 substituents on the nitrogen of the thiuram polysulfide are hydrocarbon groups having a >=7C branched structure, (C3) a thiazole, and (C4) a sulfamide. The vulcanized article can be obtained by vulcanizing this rubber composition.
