TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS TRAVEL OF TRAVELING VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A traffic signal control method for a continuous travel of a traveling vehicle and a traffic signal control system are provided to prevent a traffic jam occurred from an unreasonableness of traffic signal system and to continuously travel without extremely stopping vehicles which drive in a road. CONSTITUTION: A traffic signal control method for a continuous travel of a traveling vehicle includes the steps of: setting(411) a traveling speed in a road to control a traffic signal, a signal period in the road and a direct green time as a time to turn on a green signal during the signal period in the road to a predetermined value, respectively; calculating(412) an interval distance of the road in response to the traveling speed and the signal period and setting points of intervals per each interval distance from a reference point; calculating(413) direct signal times of a first directional line in a cross road and a second directional line facing with the first directional line on the road by using a distance and a width to the cross road independent to the cross road of the road from the interval point of the road and the cross road of the road; and controlling the traffic signal by inputting the calculated signal times to each regional controllers.
