A mobile surveying device surveys the position of sewerage/drainage shafts (35). During the surveying a vehicle (1) cleans the shafts. Data in the vehicle locates a shaft cover with a global positioning satellite system and determines its height. This data is then transmitted to a device for recording and evaluating positioning data. An Independent claim is also included for a method for processing data for a vehicle used for cleaning/inspecting sewerage systems and for collecting up/transporting silt and wet waste matter.
