The current supply station (SV) has at least 2 current supply modules (SM), connected in parallel for supplying energy to an internet data protocol communications network (K), via an integrated network interface (INI). The communications network can be divided via a network node (NK) into an internal communications network (IK) and an external communications network (EK) for data exchange between external stations. An Independent claim for a modular current supply system is also included.
