PURPOSE: A method for a sales promotion of a digital file and a digital storing medium and a service system thereof are provided to supply compensation when an inherent number of a bought CD or DVD including same contents as a digital file is identical by obtaining the digital file such as an MP3 file having an inherent number through an open network such as the Internet and installing the file in a user's terminal. CONSTITUTION: In a system for promoting sales of a lottery ticket type digital file and a digital storing medium based on open network such as the Internet(120), a prizewinner managing DB(151) stores general information such as an address, a name, a mail address, a resident registration number, a bought CD title, a CD purchase place, etc. of a prizewinner. A winning number DB(152) records inherent numbers according to digital files and an inherent number of a corresponding digital storing medium(CD). When a production number of the CD printed thereon is inputted, a number program(153) outputs an inherent number of the CD. A control unit(154) transmits/receives information to users through terminals and records information inputted/output on each CD.
