PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for combustion-removing an organic compound by using a catalyst having high combustion removing ability while suppressing the production of by-products. SOLUTION: This organic compound combustion-removing catalyst consisting of a mixture of a metal oxide containing at least one or more kinds of platinum group elements and zeolite, or the organic compound combustion-removing catalyst prepared by incorporating a platinum group element in alumina containing <=1% rare earth elements and having a specific fine pore diameter distribution is brought into contact with the organic compound to combustion- remove the organic compound. |
