PURPOSE: A flat-plate antenna and an electric apparatus with the same are provided to achieve the low-cost and high-performance, and mount the antenna in a limited space inside a portable terminal or an electric appliance or housed in a wall. CONSTITUTION: A flat-plate antenna(6) includes a slit(2), which has a specified width and a specified length, formed as part of a conductive flat plate. A horizontal conductive portions of the flat-plate antenna separated from each other with the slit between them serve as a radiating element portion and a ground portion respectively.
