Perforating wet silicone impregnated webs - followed by drying to set the silicon

A non-woven fibrous web impregnated with silicone is perforated by a needled roller or plate and dried with pref. hot air to set the silicone. Pref. the web is supported on a conveyor and the needled roller is arranged within a hood to which the hot air is supplied. A suction device may be provided below the conveyor to draw the hot air through the web.
