The invention provides an electronic transaction system and an electronic management system for conducting a transaction over a computer network, each comprising: submission means for allowing any of one or more users to submit respective user information pertaining to the transaction, the sum of the respective user information at any time constituting transaction information; storage means for storing and retrieving the transaction information; and execution means for allowing any of the users to execute or indicate assent to at least some of the transaction information; wherein the transaction information, when complete, includes all information required to conduct the transaction, and whereby each of the users can submit, inspect and execute or assent to any part of the transaction information required for the transaction to be completed.
