PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile communication system that can reduce work operation amount, when the position of a facsimile machine is moved. SOLUTION: When the position of a group 3 facsimile machine that is an opposite terminal is moved, connecting an incoming reply device CX to an original line allows other group-3 facsimile machines FX to recognize the movement of the opposite terminal and to automatically update a telephone number registered to themselves into a new telephone number. Thus, users of the group-3 facsimile machines need not be updated for the registered telephone number with much convenience.
