<p>Cable display apparatus comprises a plurality of vertically extending cables supporting insulating shelves and/or display panels and like, with lighting units attached to and powered through the cables. Each cable is mounted at one end by a mounting element on a low voltage mounting strip 11 comprising an outer conductor (30, Fig 3) of U-shaped section with inward flanges (31, Fig 3) and an inner conductor (32, Fig 3) supported inside the outer conductor. The mounting elements engage mechanically with the flanges on the strip, and are of two types. One type provides direct electrical connection to the outer conductor; the other type provides electrical connection to the inner conductor via a fuse (50, Fig 3) held between the mounting element and the inner conductor.</p> |
