PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair which alleviates the burdens of a user and a helper in moving into/out the wheelchair with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A wheelchair 1 is provided with a main frame 2 supporting front wheels 4 and rear wheels 5, a sub frame 3 pivoted to the main frame 2 so as to be swung around a horizontal axial center for supporting a seat 6 and a foot mounting plate 7, and a driving means 8 for swinging the sub frame 3 between a traveling position at which the seat surface part 37 of the seat 6 becomes almost horizontal and a moving-in/moving-out position at which the seat surface part 37 is inclined downwards to the front and the foot mounting plate 7 approaches or is abutted on the traveling surface S of the wheelchair 1.
