PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cover for an outboard motor improved so that a sealing member is made difficult to be affected by fastening force of the cover by a lock device. SOLUTION: Either one of an under cover 10 for covering the lower half part of an engine E and an engine cover 11 for covering the upper half part of the engine E has a first sealing surface 42 extending in the substantially horizontal direction and a second sealing surface 43 extending in the substantially vertical direction at the opening peripheral edge, in the engine cover for the outboard motor for attachably/detachably mounting the engine cover 11 on the upper opening surface of the under cover 10 via a sealing member 12. The sealing member 12 has a clip part 54 to be coupled with the opening peripheral edge of the other cover, a hollow part 53, a vertically directed lip piece 56 extended at a position offset to the inside of an engine room from a vertical surface passing through an application center of pressing load at the tip part on the anti-clip part side of the hollow part 53 and a horizontally directed lip piece 55 extended to the clip part side. |
