PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-mold coating molding method capable of enhancing design effect by adjusting the orientation of brilliant elements in the coating layer on the surface of a bent part, and to provide an in-mold coated molded product. SOLUTION: A side molding 11 is constituted of a base material 12, which is equipped with a long part 16 and an extension part 17, and the coating layer 13 containing brilliant elements 19 formed on the surface of the base material 12. An undercut 18 bent at an acute angle is provided between the long part 16 and the extension part 17. The mold for in-mold coating molding for manufacturing the side molding 11 is equipped with the fixed mold and a movable mold, and also equipped with the coating agent injection port provided on the side of the long part 16 and the excess agent housing part provided on the extension line of the leading end of the extension part 17. The mold forms an injection space for injecting a coating agent to the surface of the base material by opening the movable mold after the injection molding of the base material, and an excess amount of the coating agent is injected in the injection space from the coating agent injection port to be allowed to flow out to the excess agent housing part.
