PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, light-weight, high-torque and high-output outer rotor motor which can be used as a high-performance in-wheel motor of a direct drive type for an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: In the outer rotor motor, a permanent magnet is provided within a plurality of recesses formed at a rotor core, keeping prescribed intervals, and the permanent magnet and the rotor core are alternately disposed in the rotating direction of the rotor at the internal surface facing the stator in the rotor.
