PURPOSE: A dental composition containing an extract of Ephedra sinica Stapf., Paeonia albiflora pallas and Lonicerae Flos as a volatile sulfide compound removing agent except conventional dental compositions is provided which has a sustained effect on removing bad breath and inhibiting generation of bread breath. CONSTITUTION: This dental composition contains as an effective component 0.01 to 2% by weight of one or more selected from an extract of Ephedra sinica Stapf., Paeonia albiflora Pallas and Lonicerae Flos, based on the total weight of the composition. Those extracts are prepared by extracting the dried Chinese herbal medicines in one or more solvents selected from purified water, ethanol, propanol, butanol, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, ethyl acetate and acetone.
