Measuring device for detecting a continuous mass flow rate of free-flowing goods e.g. pourable bulk materials, feeds the mass flow through a cord-like feeder channel sloping downwards and supported on a weighing cell

Two modular spiral chute parts (1,2) are each supported on weighing cells (5,6). Each spiral chute part has a smooth spiral (11,20) sloping downwards with little friction to take a mass flow in volume. As bulk materials flow through, weighing cell signals detect loading on the spiral and flow speed through both spiral chute parts to calculate kg/h feed intensity/kg feed quantity. An independent claim is also included for a method for using measuring devices to detect a continuous mass flow rate of free-flowing goods like pourable bulk materials.
