PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator suited for detecting a notch or through-hole of a tubular work having a notch and/or through-hole at least at a part and apparatus for inspecting the tubular work using the same. SOLUTION: The illuminator 1 having a light source 5 comprising a light emitting diode element 5b is connected to a pair of leads 5a, 5a, a transparent resin 5c with which the light emitting diode element 5b is molded into a circular column shape, and a reflective layer 5d is formed over a range of about 180 deg. on the outer side of the transparent resin 5c. |
