PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus capable of easily regulating the coating amount or moving speed of a spray gun to a molded article and capable of continuously coating a large number of molded articles for a short time. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus has a preparation station 9 for placing the molded articles 8 on the pallet 6 fed by a chain conveyor 1, a coating booth 4 for coating the molded articles 8 with paint, spray guns 7 provided on the upstream and downstream sides to spray the paint and a movement adjusting means for regulating the reciprocating movement of the spray guns to adjust the coating amount to the molded articles 8. An air pipe is arranged under the liquid surface of the cleaning liquid in the gas cleaning chamber within the coating booth 4 and air is ejected from a slit to form a liquid film curtain. The paint in the paint gas touches with the liquid curtain to fall to the liquid to clean the paint gas.
